O McGovern Relatório - de Interesse Especial e A Supressão da Ciência

O que a maioria das pessoas sabe é apenas propaganda. Os médicos são bons, têm de fazer um juramento hipocrático, existem para o curar e ajudar, e é claro que um dia a medicina vai livrar-nos de todas as doenças. Na realidade, é completamente o oposto e por vezes completamente na sua cara que é patético.
Para a maioria das pessoas que não estão familiarizadas com a história da ciência nutricional, isto pode ser uma surpresa que o próprio governo tenha uma rede para suprimir a ciência e que o interesse individual dos homens não seja o seu objectivo principal. Podemos apenas recordar os exemplos como "Relatório McGovern".
Em 1977 foi publicado o "Relatório McGovern". George McGovern era um antigo senador democrata do Dakota do Sul que, em 1972, sofreu uma derrota presidencial para Richard Nixon, mas também esteve à frente do comité que divulgou as primeiras Directrizes Dietéticas nos EUA. Antes disso, foi como é agora. Carne e açúcar.
Em 1977, a maior parte da ciência que encontrará referenciada nos artigos da GoVeganWay era conhecida em certa medida. Mesmo antes disso. Doenças de afluência como doenças cardíacas ou cancro estavam a começar a disparar mesmo no início dos 20th século nos EUA e em alguns outros países desenvolvidos. O consumo de carne aumentou porque a riqueza pessoal aumentou e as pessoas começaram a gastar mais em comida. Isto irá acontecer em todo o lado onde o nível de vida subir. Por exemplo, na China rural e na Índia, a maioria das pessoas vive de uma dieta vegana à base de amido dominada pelo arroz só por causa da pobreza. Mas quando essas pessoas se mudam para cidades para trabalhar numa fábrica recentemente construída, terão mais dinheiro para gastar em comida, e foi exactamente isto que aconteceu nos EUA.
Como consequência, as doenças de afluência dispararam. Após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, a nutrição como ciência tinha começado a investigar isto de uma forma mais profissional e científica. A investigação tinha sido feita e demorou algumas décadas, mas o consenso científico tinha sido feito.
O consenso era que não se tratava apenas de gordura animal saturada, como se acreditava nos anos 50, ou que não era apenas colesterol, mas de uma dieta não natural, dominada por produtos animais como um todo. Esse tipo de dieta era diferente da dieta vegana à base de amido que as pessoas comem há apenas cem anos. O consenso científico na altura era e é nos anos 70 que os seres humanos, enquanto espécie, são primatas e não verdadeiros omnívoros anatómicos. O consenso era que o governo, apoiado por toda a investigação nutricional, deveria mudar o seu modelo de pirâmide alimentar dominado por produtos animais e que Orientações dietéticas deve estar mais de acordo com a evolução humana. O relatório foi feito, mas mesmo esse relatório teve de ser "diluído", mas mesmo assim. O impulso para alterar as Directrizes Dietéticas aceites foi feito e introduzido no Congresso.
Foi o Relatório McGovern.
O que é que este relatório tinha de tão mau? Basicamente, afirmava que deveríamos comer mais cereais integrais, mais fruta, mais vegetais, menos carne, menos lacticínios, pelo menos menos menos lacticínios integrais, açúcar, e assim por diante. Era ainda uma forma de compromisso e não defendia uma dieta totalmente vegetariana, mas era um passo numa direcção semelhante. Esperava-se que estas novas directrizes sobre alimentação tivessem efeitos de mudança na saúde semelhantes aos do Relatório do Cirurgião Geral sobre o Fumo de 1964.
Esta é uma citação do próprio relatório:
"Há muitas provas, e estas continuam a acumular-se, o que implica fortemente e, em alguns casos, prova que as principais causas de morte e incapacidade nos Estados Unidos estão relacionadas com a dieta que comemos. I (Dr. Hegsted da Harvard School of Public Health) inclui a doença arterial coronária, que é responsável por quase metade das mortes nos Estados Unidos, várias das formas mais importantes de cancro, hipertensão, diabetes, e obesidade, bem como outras doenças crónicas".
A indústria e um grande pedaço de senadores chamaram à teoria da grande conspiração e que o Comité McGovern acredita na privação das pessoas do que elas gostam.
Esta foi a partir de um registo oficial da audiência da comissão, e mais tarde a mesma história foi empurrada para a grande imprensa. Se não acredita em teorias de conspiração e vê aqui os principais meios de comunicação social, é um exemplo da mentalidade das pessoas da indústria.
Nessa altura, o Instituto do Sal alertou para esse facto:
"Se as pessoas comerem mais saudável, teremos mais idosos para cuidar"..., "aumentando simultaneamente o custo dos cuidados de saúde dos idosos, que se enquadra na categoria de despesas de saúde".
Os "governantes" não gostam dos velhos porque não produzem e apenas sugam os recursos que os governantes querem para si próprios. É melhor para eles e para a economia quando as pessoas morrem aos 60 anos imediatamente antes da reforma, e é ainda melhor quando gastam toda a sua poupança em cirurgia cardíaca e quimioterapia antes de morrerem. Não seria rentável para os "governantes" ter massas de pessoas a viver regularmente até aos 90 anos. Este planeta na sua mentalidade já está superpovoado.
As outras indústrias também se tornaram balísticas, especialmente carne e ovos.
Eles alertam para isso:
"Se os Objectivos Dietéticos forem cortados para a frente e promovidos como norma actual, todos os sectores da indústria alimentar - carne, lacticínios, açúcar, e outros, podem ser tão gravemente danificados que, quando se aperceber que os Objectivos Dietéticos são imprudentes, como certamente será a descoberta, a recuperação da produção pode estar fora de alcance".
No entanto, a indústria alimentar não impediu este relatório. Este relatório acabou por ser interrompido ao mais alto nível político. O nível que vê as pessoas como um recurso.
