It is only your job and nobody else’s. It is not the job of your doctor. He does not care about your health. He is going to stop listening to you seconds after you have started speaking. What he is going to do is to write the prescription, and if anything goes wrong, he is also considering how to protect himself from liability. That is his real job. Even if he wanted to spend time on you, he would have a hard time because the doctors themselves do not know what the truth is and have themselves a life expectancy that is much shorter than average. Another part of the problem we face in medicine is philosophical.
Scientific medicine does not believe that there is such a thing in existence as life. Living matter is just the rearrangement of dead atoms. Because our bodies are just dead machines, we treat diseases, in the same manner, we treat broken cars. We have interventional treatments. This is the belief system you will get in hospitals. This is great if you just had an accident and they need to save your life but terrible for anything else. This philosophy has a detrimental effect. Doctors do not treat diseases at all. They treat symptoms.
The reason we don’t see real education about nutrition and the influence that diet has on our life and health is the same reason we don’t see ads on TV for kale and carrots. Groundbreaking research on the power of foods and eating patterns for the last 5 decades is buried in the medical literature deliberately and by intention. Doctors by intention get little if any formal nutrition training in medical school. They have to be dietitians or scientist that research specific fields of biology and biochemistry to get the whole scope of knowledge that exist in the literature. And the reason is simple. There’s no profit motive in carrots and kale.
Chronic diseases are a wide range of different conditions such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. At first sight, they have nothing in common. How could such a wide range of different conditions have a common root cause?
A consequence of our shift from our natural habitat by the use of technology and abundance of food has unnaturally shifted our way of life. We are no longer adapted to our new artificially created habitat and consequence logically must manifest somewhere. That is what we see when we visit hospitals and give most of our income to the good service of modern medicine.
When we look at the list of 15 leading causes of death more than 80% are lifestyle influenced. They are caused by our diet. In most cases, the disease is a choice.
It is not a bad genetic that gives us disease and that is a big open secret. For example, cancer is a preventable lifestyle disease. Real genetic causes are responsible for no more than 5% of all cancer deaths. For instance, some level of cancer will be present in animals too, but 23.4% of mortality in the general population just from cancer is not from genetic causes. This is an open secret number one that people just don’t like to talk about. The medical industry will openly avoid this topic also. The medical industry (allopathic medicine) is based on interventional treatments and patented drugs.
If we have an evolutionary incongruent lifestyle and eat a diet that we are not adapted to eating depending on individual genetics different diseases will emerge. Someone will have a heart attack, someone will have an autoimmune condition and the third person will have a stroke depending on their genetic predisposition. But this does not mean that we have bad genes. It means that we have a bad diet.
There are diets proven to not only prevent and treat but reverse deadly diseases of affluence like heart disease and type 2 diabetes, in addition to preventing cancer, preventing autoimmune conditions and a wide range of other lifestyle and diet influenced conditions.
The most powerful tool available to stop the chronic diseases that remain our leading causes of death and disability is diet and only diet. The evolutionary incongruent diet is the main cause of them in the first place.
The underlying interest of the medical industry has caused a situation where a part of the problem is that individuals who want to make the correct dietary choices for themselves and their families are faced with a deluge of confusing and conflicting nutritional advice. Research has been available for more than five decades but still, we have a situation where diet wars are waging. In reality, even if you ask a nutritional expert why is a vegan diet associated with a lower risk of heart attack, cancer, diabetes, and all other diseases of affluence most likely he would not know the real answer.
